IFHY screens tonight in Times Square tonight!
In fact, the entire slate of FROM HERE TO AWESOME shorts and features will be screened in NYC from October 22 to 24 at the Times Square Arts Center.

FROM HERE TO AWESOME is a discovery and distribution festival that puts filmmakers directly in touch with audiences. The festival has no submission fees and filmmakers retain their rights while seeing direct revenue from festival outlets.
Out of 115 submissions, 22 films were selected for this year’s From Here to Awesome Showcase. 12 features and 10 shorts were programmed based on audience demand.
The festival is the brainchild of film pioneers Lance Weiler (THE LAST BROADCAST, HEAD TRAUMA), Arin Crumley (FOUR EYED MONSTERS, AS THE DUST SETTLES), and M Dot Strange (WE ARE THE STRANGE)

From Here to Awesome is an open source R&D lab for film innovation which is experimenting with a ‘day and date’ festival model. Using both traditional and new media vehicles, filmmakers are empowered to reach audiences directly. The festival has no submission fees and filmmakers retain their rights whilst seeing direct monetary returns from participating distribution outlets who include Amazon, Vudu, Joost, Hulu, Netflix and a growing number of additional outlets.
The film industry is a permission-based culture and From Here to Awesome is a step towards letting filmmakers know that they have options - not getting into one of the major festivals is not necessarily the end of their movie’s life but could actually be the beginning…
